1st Annual Colorado Tactical Firearms Training Seminar & Competition
Force Options and United Shooter’s Association have joined forces to bring you the 1st Annual Colorado Tactical Firearms Training Seminar and Competition.
PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 18, 2011 – This fantastic event will include two days of tactical training followed by a special competition utilizing the skills you have just worked on. Along with the great training, United Shooter’s Association has secured some great prizes for the winners. These awards include an M&P pistol and an AR15! An amazing opportunity to receive world class training and top notch awards! Registration includes all training, competition as well as food and drink.

Courses being taught are:
Tactical Close Quarters Pistol – Day 1
This course will teach participants the vital skills to win close quarter confrontations. In the real world chances are very high that an assailant will be within 3 yards. This course is designed to create reflexive gun handling, improved marksmanship and tactical mindset. Students will learn to use a pistol in a very dynamic and combat based way in order to develop solid gun fighting skills. From hyper accuracy drill and close quarter shooting to weapon retention drills, this will be a diverse and exciting class.
Tactical Carbine– Day 2
This course is designed to expose students to the next level in carbine training. While fundamentals will always be stressed, this course goes further and covers a great deal more. These topics include:
*Use of multiple firing positions
*Strong and weak side shooting
*Tactical movement with a carbine
*Tactical transition to pistol
* Plus more
This class will culminate in the performance of a multiple target course of fire where you will need to move through a large area and engage hostile targets while avoiding “no-shoot” targets. This is a very exciting and enjoyable training event.
Competition & Awards- Day 3
A competition on day 3, will be a combination of all things learned. Split into five(5) categories, each with an award to chase after! Force Options USA will tally all results. United Shooter’s Association and Force Options USA will announce the top shooter in each category and present a certificate and award!
Its going to be a fun and exhilarating 3 day Tactical Training Seminar. Hosted by the United Shooter’s Association and training by Force Options USA. Not to mention, outstanding awards and take home items!

Stuart Shaw wrote a response to an article quoting a verse from the Book of Luke, which the author believed to support our Rights to self-protection.

Before I begin my breakdown of Shaw’s article, I say to you, leave any emotions at the door. Whether your religious, agnostic, anti-gun or pro-gun, answer this one simple question…
To the depth of your personal being, do you believe in taking care of yourself? In all aspects (physically, mentally, emotionally,ect) of your health. No what if’s or “I can’t say what I would do, until I’m in that situation”. I give you no scenarios or what if’s. Rather one simple question… Do you truly believe in taking care of your health?
If you answered yes or no and you left your emotions in the John this morning, then let’s get started.
Stuart’s article is well written and as he perceives, to be factual. However, when he says;
“Beyers’ letter includes an example of one common error that comes from quoting a single line (clause, sentence or paragraph), and representing that line as evidence that an authority supports the writer’s point of view, when, on the contrary, he (or she) generally does not agree with it.”
It’s obvious Stuart’s emotions got the best of him. Huh, you ask. Simply put, conviction towards the author taking one liners out of context, especially when it’s generally the wrong point of view is a stretch. I ask you Stuart, when did you have the privilege of meeting Jesus? How does anyone for that matter, know to any distinction what is meant?

Continuing with that thought, Stuart’s admission would lead you to believe that laws in effect today are contradiction and law makers would never intentionally put you in harm’s way. Right?
What I mean by that, is that Jesus taught us the use peace instead of violence. I fully agree and would love nothing more than to live a peace existence.
Let’s get real though, people are violent . And as I stated at the beginning of the post, when illness comes knocking, you take affirmative action. When ill will come a knocking, why would you not have the “medicine” ready to go?
“The idea that Jesus would support the arming of citizens to defend themselves and take the law into their own hands contradicts much of what he taught.”
Much of what Jesus taught contradicts a majority of people’s daily lives. However, the misunderstanding of Jesus’ teachings occurs when people bring emotions into it. Yes, Jesus taught that nonviolent resistance was more righteous than violent alternatives. But, the misconstrued notion that Jesus peaceful protest
Stuart nailed it right on the head, figuratively speaking.
Contradictions. This one word can summarize the Bible, in its entirety. The Bible is literally a book of scripted contradictions. Every book or gospel has a few one liners, led or followed by a contradicting one liner. Thus, allowing the stories of the Bible to be easily adapted to most situations.
As I was skimming through all of the news headlines, a minute ago, I came across one headline that caught my attention.
It isn’t necessarily about gun rights or the 2nd Amendment, so to speak. Rather, about how the overall aspect of lawmakers are now blaming a new source for the prices we’re all paying.
The articles headline reads:
“Lawmakers blame energy prices on speculation. Amid rising gas prices lawmakers are calling for more controls over speculators, who they blame for the high price of oil.”
The article is rather short and does not go into specific details, but that isn’t the point.
My point is this; lawmakers and their citizen followers alike are blaming something else, again. As if it truly makes any sort of difference who or what they try and pass the blame off on. Regardless of who they pass it on to, the ending result always seems to be…. Control.
As I stated in the beginning of my post; “It isn’t necessarily about gun rights or the 2nd Amendment, so to speak.” Thus completes my circle of relation.
What’s been in the sniper scope of “more control” lawmakers for decades is firearms and ammunition. Attempting to strip citizens of their Constitutional rights. Then it shifted to free speech. Not to mention the hundreds of others along the way. That is the underlying hypocrisy here. Not that lawmakers want to pass more control over speculators. Rather their wanting of more control, at the expenses of OUR RIGHTS.
